It's Mother's Day!

It's that time of year again. I do like Mother's day but I hate, along with many, how commercialised it is. I always say to my bunch to make gifts and a card and this year they really have put alot of though into it and the things they have made have been amazing. They all made a card together and stuck on images of all my favourite things. The Sleeping beauty's Disney castle, Michael Jackson, a cup of tea, the logo for EastEnders, and Grumpy Bear from the care bears. It is just too awesome! My eldest girl made homemade chocolate truffles with a paper plate made into a basket to put them in. They were placed in a plastic wrapper tied up with a friendship bracelet. So sweet! We shared the truffles (yummy) and I'm wearing my bracelet right now. I'll save the basket and find a use for it. My younger girl made a devils chocolate cake with royal icing over the top and edible flowers to decorate. It really is delicious. My little boy build me a beach house with a terrace over looking the ocean one side and a view of the mountains on the other side. He made a special in-house stable room for the donkey, named Eddie. And by night it's lit beautifully with torches fixed to the columns holding up the beach house. All of this designed on minecraft as you may have guessed. My husband bought (because he likes to get something, even though i tell him not to) a box of ferrero roché and a terry's chocolate orange for me from the kids too. (I'm fully prepared to put on half a stone within a week). But the funniest present they decided would be a good idea was, drum roll please, a 160 cups box of tea bags. I actually think it's genius! So I had a lovely day. Started with tea in bed and the little gifts left around the house for me to find. I feel so lucky.
