Power To The Revolution!

I love day's like today. Just doing a bit of shopping that I need to get us through the next couple of days until the big shop gets delivered. As I'm about to leave the shop I see a couple of old friends just coming in. It's weird because everytime I do see them it's always in the same shop. I said hello and they said hi back then *S, (I'll just initial her name) said "oh Sarah, I wanna talk to you!". Well for the next few seconds I thought I was in trouble, hahaha, but then *S continued with "You homeschool don't you?" I replied "yeah" and S said "and it's the best thing you've ever done, right?". (She know's this because I bang on about it all the time on Facebook). "oh yeah" I said. From that moment I knew I had myself another fellow Home edder. Anyway we stood talking for a good half hour and barely scratched the surface so I invited her round to come and have a chat about it. Which I'm really looking forward to. Not just because I feel like I'm changing the world one home edder at a time, but just because I know what it's like to be in that position and I know it would have been nice if I had someone to ask questions to when we were contemplating it. I spent hours and hours researching but just talking with one person with experience of it would have felt alot more personal. Forums and FB groups are so huge and diverse you sometime feel like your head is spinning. S has joined groups but as I have experienced myself some support groups and forums can say different things and many members can get quite snobby - "My way is the only way" types, and bashing parents for doing things differently to their methods. It's all a bit much sometimes. So I'm quite stoked today, It's nice to be asked for advice. Especially concerning Home Ed. It's the only thing I have to offer to be honest, haha.
